국민대학교 경영대학이 2026년 8월 세계 최대 경영교육 네트워크인 AACSB(Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business)의 Business Education Alliance 회원으로 합류했다.

AACSB는 1916년 설립된 글로벌 경영교육의 표준 제정 기관으로, 전 세계 100여 개국 1,000여 개 경영대학에 인증을 부여하고 있다. 이는 경영학 학위를 수여하는 전 세계 교육기관의 약 6%에 불과하며, 하버드·스탠퍼드 등 세계 유수의 명문 경영대학이 여기에 포함된다. AACSB 네트워크에는 2,000곳이 넘는 회원 기관이 참여하고 있다.

국민대학교 경영대학은 1958년 경상학과 개설로 출발하여 국내 경영교육의 초창기부터 그 역사를 함께해 온 전통의 교육기관이다. 1968년 경영학과로 명칭을 변경하고, 2006년 경영대학 경영학부로 독립하며 반세기가 넘는 세월 동안 성장을 거듭해 왔다.

오늘날 국민대학교의 경영교육은 학부, 일반대학원 및 MBA로 구성된 경영대학을 비롯해 KIBS(KMU International Business School), 비즈니스IT대학원, 글로벌창업벤처대학원 등 각 분야에 특화된 여러 전문 교육기관으로 이루어진 종합적인 체계를 갖추고 있다. 학부 과정부터 전문 대학원에 이르는 이러한 폭넓은 교육 자원은 국민대학교가 글로벌 경영교육 네트워크의 일원으로 도약하는 든든한 토대가 되고 있다.

Kookmin University College of Business Administration Joins AACSB, the World's Largest Business Education Network

Kookmin University College of Business Administration announced that in August 2026 it joined the Business Education Alliance of AACSB (the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), the world's largest business education network.

Founded in 1916, AACSB is the leading global standard-setting body for business education, granting accreditation to more than 1,000 business schools across over 100 countries and territories. These accredited institutions represent less than 6 percent of the world's institutions offering business degrees and include renowned business schools such as those of Harvard and Stanford. AACSB's global network comprises more than 2,000 member organizations.

Kookmin University College of Business Administration traces its origins to the founding of its Department of Commerce in 1958, placing it among the early pioneers of business education in Korea. The department was renamed the Department of Business Administration in 1968 and, in 2006, was established as an independent College of Business Administration.

Today, business education at Kookmin University is organized as a comprehensive system that extends beyond the College to several specialized institutions, including the KMU International Business School (KIBS), the Graduate School of Business IT, and the Graduate School of Global Entrepreneurship. This breadth of educational resources, spanning undergraduate programs to specialized graduate schools, provides a strong foundation for Kookmin University's advancement as a member of the global business education network.
